Tactics to Drive Web traffic Using Instagram

Are you hungry for tools to promote your brand and earn wider recognition? Social media networking is gaining popularity from visibly driving more engagement, especially over pictures. Remarkably, the success of photo based platforms such as Instagram is no wonder. Question is, how can it become an unfailing choice for driving more traffic to your website?

Instagram – Not a Niche Social Media Any More

In the legion of social media platforms, Instagram is undeniably groovy and in-vogue. However, misconceptions surround the network making the platform appear suitable only for certain types of businesses. Some even argue that Instagram is not marketer-friendly.

Here is the reality check. On the Instagram network, it may be a little tough to crack to the visitor and lead him toward your website. This is because your post and caption must capture the visitor’s attention, create an urge to go through your bio, and visit your website linked to the bio. Those visitors who go through this hassle and arrive on your site are quality leads you can bank upon.

If you already own an account for your brand on Instagram, all that remains is to learn ways to grab the spotlight. As far as marketing is concerned, I vouch for Instagram for its ability to drive better leads over other social marketing platforms. That said, here are a couple of easy steps to go about doing this.

01. Making Sure the Link on Your Bio is Effective

First of all, confirm your website link is on the bio. Second, the link must direct the Instagram users to the most ideal page on your website. It could be your home page, blog or the product page. One way to direct visitors is by using CTAs (calls-to-action) in captions for your posts.

02. Images, Videos, Content and without doubt, Hashtags

Exploit technology to connect to your audience. Posting top quality images and applying filters to enhance the pictures will guarantee the posts blend well with the platform. Videos can make the experience more interactive if you decide to release what happens behind the scenes at work; for instance, blooper reels.

Make the content exclusive. Do not duplicate and promote the same content across social media sites and websites. The content must be solely meant for your Instagram followers. Include hashtags suited to your business to gain recognition and generate more following. Anywhere between five to ten hashtags is perfect per post.

03. Arrest Your Follower’s Attention

Begin conversations, ask questions, and get people to respond to your posts. You may want to ‘like’ and comment on their responses and when you do that, mention their name with a ‘@’. Also, don’t just count your followers. Begin following others and make your business appear more social.

Launch campaigns and conduct contests and encourage your followers to participate. Choose a theme that is fun and allows the participants to get really creative. Kindle your followers’ curiosity through sneak peaks and offering prizes for correct answers.

My Thoughts

Becoming an eager beaver on Instagram is easy, engaging and entertaining. Before you turn Instagram into your asset for creating web traffic, ensure your website is mobile friendly. Majority users access the application and websites on cell phones, and you don’t want your visitors feeling unpleasant from zooming in and out to view your website.

Brands are on a nonstop chase finding new ways to tap into potential audience. Establishing your business and being successful on a social media platform can be very easy if you make the right moves. Get ‘Instagramming’ and brace yourself for the big rush.
