Honestly, high-quality images can take your audience on an exciting journey, introducing them to the real you and showcasing how you can rock their world.

Get a good night’s sleep, stay hydrated, and most importantly, have fun! Your photographer is there to help you feel comfortable and find the perfect poses that capture your essence.

To ensure your photographs speak the language of your brand, start by identifying your business’s core values.

Think about what you want your clients to feel when they visit your website. Are you approachable, empowering, or adventurous?

Are there certain things you love or things you talk about a lot in your social posts or on your website which make up part of your story? Certain pets? Love of the mountains?

Pinterest is not just a platform for inspiration (although it is great for this.) It can also be a valuable tool to help you plan your brand photoshoot. Remember to keep in mind what you want your viewers to feel. 

Create a dedicated board to gather all your photo shoot ideas, brand colors, location suggestions, wardrobe inspirations, and even makeup ideas. This visual wonderland will help your photographer grasp the exact vibe you’re after, whether it’s friendly and informal or sleek and corporate.

These little details pack a powerful punch, establishing a visual connection that reinforces your brand’s message and takes your photos to the next level.

5. Wardrobe Choices that Wow Your Audience

Time to show off your style…

When selecting outfits for your photo shoot, go for looks that make you feel comfortable and confident. No need to go overboard with 6-inch heels if that’s not your thing!

If your brand color is yellow, you don’t have to dress head-to-toe in it (not many can pull that off!).

Instead, consider yellow accessories for a pop of colour. Mix formal and informal outfits that align with your business’s vibe. And remember, plan your outfits in advance, right down to the accessories and undies so you don’t have a last-minute scramble on the day. Attention to detail is key!

6. Understanding the Images You Need

Before the big day, take some time to envision the specific images you require. Think about the composition that works best for your website and social media.

Landscape-oriented shots with you positioned to the side can work wonders for websites, and they can be easily cropped into portrait orientation for social media platforms.

And don’t forget about the magic of flat lays – perfect for announcements and product showcases!

It’s an idea to leave negative space in your flat-lay images to accommodate text overlays.

7. Give your confidence a boost

And finally, a little secret to give your confidence an extra boost on the day of your photoshoot: book a professional hair and makeup artist…
